5 Simple Steps to Hosting a Glamorous Grammy’s Party

Friday, February 6, 2015

T minus 48 hours until showtime! If you’re anything like us, we’re counting down the days, minutes, seconds until the 57th annual Grammy awards.

You don’t have to be on the red carpet to partake in the fun. In fact, with our guide to the ultimate glamorous Grammy’s party (we’re calling it the “Glammy’s”), these easy steps will have you celebrating music’s biggest night in the comfort of your own home!

1. Are you on the Guest List?
Create your own VIP guest list and invite some friends over for the showing! The awards start at 8, but of course you want to catch Live From the Red Carpet beforehand! Begin the festivities a little early to catch your favorite artists sporting fashion’s newest trends. Who knows? You may even get a little outfit inspiration of your own!

2. Pop the Bubbly, Life is Lovely!
Toast to your favorite nominee’s with a nice glass of bubbly, and what better accompaniment to bubbly spirits than this fabulous sparkling cranberry Brie bites recipe? It’s easy to make and a stylish treat.

3. Dress to Impress
Just because you may not actually be at the awards doesn’t mean you shouldn’t dress that way. While you certainly have the option to kick off your stilettos without the paparazzi judging you for doing so, find a killer outfit that you will want to wear all night long! We are loving this Middleton Skirt, which is the perfect shade of midnight blue. Dress it up with a silky blouse or keep the look casual with a fitted crop top. Pair with a fun pair of heels and you’re sure to appear on the “Best Dressed” list tomorrow!

4. Glam Your Do
Style your hair like the A List celebrity you are with this simple yet elegant side pony. It will give you a sophisticated look, and your hair will be out of the way while you are entertaining. For best results, curl the ends of your hair a little bit to create more volume with a thick curling iron. Sweep the hair to one side and fasten loosely with one hair-tie and a couple bobby pins. Spray with a natural-hold hairspray and you’re red carpet ready!

5. Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize
So now that you’ve got your fabulous outfit and trendy hair do, complete your Glammy’s look with a pop of red lipstick. It’s dramatic and fun, and adds sass to any outfit choice. A personal favorite is Pirate by Chanel, a darker red color that is perfect for this time of year. However, if you favor a lighter tone, try out this Tom Ford lipstick in Wild Ginger.

Now it’s time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show! LL Cool J will be hosting this year, and we hear that Katy Perry is set to hit the stage again. If it’s anything like her Super Bowl performance, we expect nothing but fabulousness! According to usmagazine.com, Pharell Williams and Sam Smith received six nominations and will do solo performances of their own. Word on the street is that Smith will even perform a duet with Mary J. Blige! Katy Perry and Mary J. Blige flashback to this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, we just can’t get enough! US Mag also confirmed that Madonna will take the stage this year, as well as Rihanna and Kanye performing their new single with Paul McCartney “FourFive Seconds.”

It’s surely been a busy year for these music moguls, but who will go home with the prize?

We want to know what you think! Below is a list of the nominee’s for “Song Of the Year.” Post your vote in a comment on our Facebook post to enter our Glammy Giveaway!
